Steve is the third generation of the Kohl family and has been a licensed mortician since 1987. He is a partner of Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory with his brother, John Kohl. Steve was raised in Faribault and graduated from the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science Program and started his career in funeral service in 1987 in Owatonna, MN. In 1990 he returned to Faribault and the Parker Kohl Funeral Home. Steve and his wife, Gail have two children and reside in Faribault. He is actively involved in his church, the Faribault Sertoma Club, the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and the Faribault Knights of Columbus.
John is third generation of the Kohl family and has been a licensed mortician since 1993. He is a partner of Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory with his brother, Steve Kohl. John was raised in Faribault and graduated from St. John's University. He then graduated from the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science Program and started his career in funeral service in 1993 at Parker Kohl Funeral Home. John and his wife, Kris have three children and reside in Faribault. He is actively involved with his church, his children's school, and is a member of the Faribault Lions Club and Faribault Knights of Columbus.
Jacob has been a licensed mortician since 2018. He was raised in Faribault, the oldest of two children to Steve and Gail Kohl. Jacob is a 2012 graduate of Bethlehem Academy, a 2016 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College Athletic Training Program, and a 2017 graduate of the University of Minnesota Mortuary Science Program. He started his career in funeral service in 2017 in Hastings, MN. He then worked in Northfield, MN before returning to Faribault and the Parker Kohl Funeral Home. Jacob, his wife, Bailey, and their daughter reside in Faribault. He is looking forward to being actively involved in his church and other organizations in Faribault. He is a member of the Faribault Rotary Club and Faribault Knights of Columbus. Jacob is the fourth generation of the Kohl family and is a licensed mortician in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
James Kohl was raised in Faribault and graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School and the University of Minnesota Department of Mortuary Science. He served in the U. S. Army for three years with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC. He joined his father, Edward Kohl, and began his funeral service career in Faribault in 1965. In 1978, he merged his business interest with the Parker Funeral Home and since that time the firm has been known as the Parker Kohl Funeral Home. He and his wife, Kay, have four children and ten grandchildren. He continues active with the firm in a consulting capacity.
