Yvonne Anderson

Yvonne L. Anderson, age 75, of Faribault, MN, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Allina Hospital in Faribault following a brief illness.

Yvonne LaRue, the daughter of George “Bruno” Mordhorst and Wilma Ruth Ward was born April 17, 1947 in Cedar Falls, IA.  She married Ralph Findling in 1965 and had two children.  They lived in Virginia and North Carolina.  She returned to Iowa in 1979 to be near family and raise her girls.  She spent the next several years as a stay at home mom.  In 1987 she moved to Minnesota and worked at Ryt-Way Industries.  There she made many friends.  Diagnosed with dementia in 2009 she retired.  She was an avid garage saler and loved collecting treasures.  Over the years she crocheted and embroidered many gifts for friends and family.  She loved to go camping and traveling to new places.  Most of all she loved her family, friends, and her cats.  For the past six years she was a resident at Ivy Hill Senior Living, they became her family as well.

She is survived by her beloved children, Peggy Loomis and Alice Findling, both of Faribault; by her grandchildren, Becky and Shawn Loomis of Iowa; by her sister, Sharon Peters of Iowa and by her special companion Robert “Bob” Knudson and by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Ralph Findling and her life long friend, Henry “Hank” Smith.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
