William "Bill" Stadler, age 60, of Faribault, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.
William Jerome, the son of Albert and Leona (Durand) Stadler was born on November 29, 1954 in Faribault, MN. He attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1973. While in high school Bill began his music career, playing drums and vocals, with the Cruiser's and later the Revelle's. Bill loved playing in the bands and did so for 20 years. During this time Bill also attended Vocational School in Mankato and Faribault, earning degrees as an Electronic Technician and later as a Lab Technician. Bill also worked for short times at Control Data in Bloomington, MN and as a Medical Lab Tech for Park Nicollet in Minneapolis until his health prevented him from working.
On August 22, 1987 he was united in marriage to Francine Savoie in Faribault. Bill was a lifelong resident of Faribault. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and always looked forward to the football season. Bill enjoyed building birdhouses, windmills and model cars. Bill's faith was very important to him and in the last few years he developed a deeper faith. His family was very important to him and loved spending time with them and also enjoyed spoiling his dogs.
He is survived by his wife Francine Stadler of Faribault; by his daughter Sarah Stadler of Faribault; by three brothers, Ken (Amber) Stadler of Northfield, MN, Ron (Denise) Stadler of Faribault and Robert "Bucky" (Linda) Stadler of Faribault; by four sisters, Eunice Mahagnoul of Faribault, Audrey Stephens of Port Arthur, TX, Pat Knott of Faribault and Barb Stadler of Faribault and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Angeline Stadler, by five brothers, Don, Harry, Paul, Herbie and David Stadler and by four sisters, Doris Goodknight, Phyllis Ress and infant sisters, Margie and Pamela Stadler.
