William C. Mostrom, age 71, Faribault, formerly of Medford, died on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, with the Rev. Ashley Osborn of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Faribault, officiating.
Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Bill, the son of Clifford and Edith (Cunningham) Mostrom, was born August 15, 1943 in Medford, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Debbie J. Davis on September 10, 1991 in Faribault.
Bill graduated from Medford High School with the Class of 1962. He worked at Nutting Truck and Caster until their closure. He then worked at Mercury Minnesota, Faribault Foods, the Faribault West Mall and was working at the Faribault Regional Center until 1995. Bill enjoyed fishing, road trips, meeting with friends and his grandchildren. He was especially proud of his 18 years in AA.
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Debbie; 2 children, Jolene Mostrom and Linette (and David) Bice, both of Faribault; 2 grandchildren Chelsea and Alexander Bice; 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter Bice and Jace Bice. Step-children, Chris (and Kim) Moellenhoff of New Ulm, Annie (and Jason) James of Duluth, Pete (and Dave Stanish) of Elgin, Illinois and Mary (and Chris) Murphy of Grand Forks AFB, North Dakota; 13 step-grandchildren, Mitch, Jessica, Jade and Matthew Moellenhoff, Ericka, Renee, Sean, Cian and Aidan James, Lahna, Garrett, Tim and Jason Murphy; Brother Dick (and Bernadette) of Ocean City, MD, sister Marge (and Ed) Strohschein of Medford and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rita, brother Dallas, sister Lois (and brother-in-law Delmar) Cramer, brother-in-law Oscar Finne and grandson Andrew Bice.
