William Kuchera

William "Bill" Kuchera Sr., age 62, of Janesville, MN, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St Ann Catholic Church in Janesville, with Rev. Chinnappa Pothireddy, officiating. Interment will be at St Ann Church Cemetery in Janesville.

Visitation will be held at the Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Janesville on Sunday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

William Herman Kuchera Sr. was born on January 7, 1952 in Marshall, MN to Mayo and Evelyn (Verschelde) Kuchera. He was raised in Taunton, MN and graduated from Minneota High School. Bill was united in marriage to Mary Grengs on February 10, 1973 in Taunton. Following their marriage they lived in Mankato, where Bill worked at Continental Can and Pepsi Co. They moved to Janesville and have resided there for the past 35 years. Bill was currently employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Mankato, working there for 34 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling, and bird watching. Bill treasured his time with his family and grandchildren. Some of their memories include camping, boating, and waterskiing together.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Kuchera of Janesville; daughter, Amy (Brett) Hentges of Lakeville; son, William J. Kuchera Jr. (Jamie Arndt) of Janesville; grandchildren, Chloe and Dawson Hentges, and Mathew, Zara, and Hunter Kuchera; his mother, Evelyn Kuchera of Mankato; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mayo Kuchera; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
