Violet "Tootie" Kopischke, age 92 of Janesville, died on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Janesville Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the Janesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. Violet Anna was born on June 20, 1916 to Edwin and Anna (Youngerberg) Dimmel in Alton Township, Waseca County, Minnesota. She was baptized on July 16, 1916 and confirmed on March 29, 1931 at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. Martin Winter. "Tootie" attended Trinity Lutheran Parochial School in Janesville. On June 8, 1937 she was united in marriage to Louis Kopischke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville by Rev. Otto Krause. Tootie and Luke farmed in the Janesville area. Tootie was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a long time member of the Ladies Aide. She helped start the Busy Fingers Club, and volunteered her time at the Janesville Nursing Home. She is survived by her husband, Louis "Luke" of Janesville; by his two children, Charles (Dona) Kopischke of Janesville and Arlene (James) Cummins of Rochester; by seven grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; by her sister Delilah Kopischke of Janesville; by her brothers-in-law Paul (Marcella) Kopischke and Alvin (Dorothy) Kopischke, all of Janesville; by many nieces and nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her two brothers Marvin (Corrine) Dimmel and Wilmar (Fran) Dimmel; by her son-in-law Gene Drager and her daughter-in-law Deanna Kopischke.
