Vera Lachelt

Vera A. Lachelt, age 86 of Janesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph-Mayo Health Systems in Mankato.   Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, with Rev. Dr. Larry Griffin officiating. Interment will be in the Janesville Cemetery.   Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Friday morning for one hour prior to services, at church.   Vera Agnes was born on July 25, 1923 in Alton Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Albert "Sam" and Matie (Kukuk) Lachelt. She was baptized on August 18, 1923 and confirmed on April 2, 1935, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. She attended Waseca County country school and Trinity Lutheran Parochial School in Janesville. Vera farmed with her family in Alton Township. Over the years she operated a lunch wagon for local auction, and worked at Birds Eye in Waseca. Vera was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, and was active in the Trinity Seniors. Vera loved her cats, and her dog "Baby Bear".   She is survived by her extended family and many friends.
