Tyrone Walderon

Tyrone E. Walderon, age 74, of Faribault, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a brief illness.   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister at Divine Mercy Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Organization.   Visitation will be held the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to services on Wednesday.   Tyrone Eugene, the son of George and Edna (Glende) Walderon, was born on April 16, 1937 in Faribault. He attended schools in Faribault and on October 13, 1961 he was united in marriage to Rita Moore at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kenyon, MN. After their marriage Tyrone served in the U.S. Army at Fort Polk Louisiana during the Berlin Crisis. He later was transferred to the Army Reserves and served with the 328th Ordnance Company in Faribault. Tyrone worked at various jobs including, Treasure Cave Cheese, Thermo-King, Sheldahl and for 30 years at Crown Cork & Seal in Faribault. He enjoyed playing cards, camping, traveling, going to the casino and playing hockey, bowling and softball. Tyrone loved spending time with his family and teasing his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.   He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita Walderon of Faribault; by four children, Dawn (Pat) Kline of Faribault, Michael (Kim) Walderon of Hastings, MN, Thomas Walderon of Faribault and Jamie (Corey) Miller of Byron, MN; by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; by brother and sister in law, Richard and Linda Moore of Faribault and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George Jr. and Wayne Walderon, his sister, Phyllis, by his father and mother in law, Michael and Jarmilla Moore and by his brother in law, David Moore.
