Tony G. Spartz, age 61 of Kilkenny, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in the weekend blizzard that covered Southern Minnesota. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Palace Bar and Grill (218 First St. S.) in Montgomery. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Tony Gerard Spartz, the son of Henry and Catherine (McFadden) Spartz, was born on March 6, 1949 in Faribault. He attended Faribault High School and later attended Technical Schools to become a Steam Fitter. He was a Steam Fitter for several different companies and traveled all around the state working on different projects. Tony had also worked at Sheldahl in Northfield. He was married to Sharon Cashin and they later divorced. He was a member of the Steam Fitters Union. He enjoyed taking rides in the country, visiting friends, watching wildlife and also loved riding motorcycles in his younger years. He is survived by his brother, Tom Spartz (Mary David) of Kilkenny, MN; by his sister, Sue Savoie (Jim Reichert) of Faribault; his niece Lisa (Don) Morgan of Livonia, NY; his nephews Dean Savoie (Pam Berto) of Desert Hot Springs, CA and Robert (Juanita) Savoie of Cathedral City, CA, and by eight great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents.
