Thomas Danielson

Thomas L. Danielson Sr., age 80, of Faribault, MN, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at the Kenyon Sunset Home following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday June 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Rev. Mark Kenney, pastor of River Valley Church, officiating.  Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association.  If you are unable to attend, the service will be live streamed through a link on Tom’s obituary page.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Thomas LeRoy was born on November 14, 1939 in Jackson, MN to Kenneth and Loretta (Blizek) Danielson.  Following high school he served in the U.S. Army Air Force working on airplanes.  He once was married to Mardy Bucknell, they had six children and remained good friends.  Tom attended Faribault Vo-Tech for welding.  He later returned to school for typewriter repair and worked in that industry for many years.  He worked in the Minneapolis area with BMS and later was self-employed with Newman-Danielson Office Center in Owatonna.  Tom was creative and could fix most anything.  He built his own home and also a pontoon.  Tom loved to fish and spent many days with his family and friends at the lake.

He is survived by four children, Rochelle “Shelly” (Jeff) Hughes, Tom (Debbie) Danielson Jr., Tony Danielson, and Eulanna (Cory) Hunt; eight grandchildren, Brianna, Brittane, Brandon, Holly, Shay, Cody, Troy, and Molly; two sisters, Rita (Ed) Sheimo and Pat (Dick) Wilker; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Loretta; two children in infancy, Lori Ann and Troy; and three brothers, Wally, Gerald “Jerry”, and Mark in infancy.
