Theresa Smith

Theresa "Terri" A. Smith, age 55, of Morristown and formerly of Faribault, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.

Theresa Ann, the daughter of Joseph and Joyce (Schuller) Smith, was born on March 27, 1959 in Faribault. Terri worked for many years at the Faribault Regional Center as a Human Service Technician. She also did house cleaning for different families. Terri was a loving, caring person who always thought of others first and would do anything to help them. She loved the Lord and her faith was very strong. Terri enjoyed reading, going to the Library and was a member of a Bible Study group.

She is survived by her two children, John (Missy) Smith of Minneapolis and Laura Jeanes of Faribault, MN; by seven grandchildren, Jameson, Espie, Arillanna, DeMarco, John Jr., Joey and Alize Smith; by five siblings, Joanna Angell of Faribault, Dianne (Stan) Roemhildt of Kilkenny, MN, Dan (Heidi) Smith of Zimmerman, MN, Mary Jo (Charlie) Meyer of Faribault and Colleen Zahn of Faribault and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Laurie Smith and by her two brothers, Pat and Jerry Smith.
