Theresa D. Coleman, 88, formerly of Boscobel, WI, died Saturday January 9, 2010 at Lakeshore Inn, Waseca, MN, after a brief illness. She was born on Aug. 5, 1921 on Wauzeka Ridge, the daughter of Alphonse and Helena (Gillitzer) Doll. She married Joe Coleman on Nov. 4, 1950 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wauzeka, WI. They moved to Boscobel in 1957 when Joe became Depot Agent for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad Co. Terry worked as an administrative assistant during her career years. Theresa was a devoted parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church and served on the board of the Altar Society. She carried on her church involvement at Sacred Heart Parish in Waseca, MN, where she resided for the past seven years. Theresa enjoyed a variety of creative pursuits, including dancing, sewing, cake decorating, playing the piano, reading, and time with friends & family. She took a special interest in genealogy and completed family histories on the Doll, Gillitzer, Coleman, Kane and Gorman clans. She is survived by her sister, Sr. Helene Marie Doll, OP (Racine, WI); three daughters, Patrice (Gary) Passer, Tucson, AZ, Maureen Coleman, Waseca, MN, Jane Coleman, Waseca, MN; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; by two sisters-in-law, Jeanie Doll (Wauzeka, WI) and Ann (Coleman) Kelly (Scottsdale, AZ), nieces and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by her spouse, brother Philip Doll, and nephew Richard Coleman. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Boscobel, WI on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, followed by a private interment. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 26th at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church of the Sacred Heart, or the Waseca Area Foundation.
