Stacy J. Williamson-Witherell, age 42, of Waseca passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca with Pastor Brad Wickersheim officiating.
Stacy Jo, daughter of Steven and Lona (Jacobson) Williamson, was born on May 11, 1973 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Glenville-Emmons High School, where she excelled on the track team. Following high school, she attended college in Jamestown, North Dakota. In May 2000, she moved to Massachusetts. She was united in marriage to Kathryn "Kate" Witherell on September 9, 2009 in Dalton, MA. Stacy and Kate showed their love of others by taking in foster children for many years. Stacy most recently worked as a manager for BCAC in Pittsfield, but has also worked for the Dollar Tree and Rust Consulting in Faribault. She enjoyed gardening, reading, fishing, and swimming. Stacy loved her children and spending time with her family and friends.
Stacy is survived by her wife, Kate Witherell of Waseca; children, Kimberly, Kaiden, and Kenneth; parents, Steven and Lona Williamson of Waseca; siblings, Derek Williamson of Waseca and Melissa Nelson of Emmons; nephews and niece, Devin, Dakota, Dylan, and Emma of Waseca; mother-in-law, Ruth Witherell; brothers-in-law, James (Amanda) Witherell and Kent (Mel) Witherell; sisters-in-law, Mary Witherell Taylor, Maggie Witherell, and Sandra Witherell; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews in Massachusetts; and by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother in infancy, Dustin; grandparents, Virginia Williamson, Lurlin and Luella Jacobson, and Margaret Jacobson; father-in-law, Jim Witherell Sr.; and brothers-in-law, Gene and Keith Witherell.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Troy Benson in Waseca for all of the wonderful care he gave to Stacy during her illness.
