Sara Moldenhauer

Sara G. Moldenhauer, age 75 of Waseca, died on Saturday, July 4, 2009 at her home.   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 8th at 1:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca with Rev. Dr. Chris Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.   Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service, at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca.   Sara Gertrude was born on February 8, 1934 in Montgomery, Alabama to Thomas and Hattie (Grey) Dillard. She was united in marriage to Arthur Emil Moldenhauer at Westover Air Force Base in Springfield, MASS on November 5, 1954. Over the years Art's military career took them to Alabama, Massachusetts, Delaware, and 23 years in Maryland. In 1990 Sara and Art moved to Waseca. Sara provided adult foster care until 2006. Sara was a member of the Christ Community Church in Waseca, and the VFW Auxiliary # 1642. Sara enjoyed cooking, camping and her Pomeranians, Prince and Neco.   She is survived by her daughter Linda (Paul) Jarrett of Waseca, and her son Douglas (Sue) Moldenhauer of Waseca; by her grandchildren, Starla Jarrett-Ohm, Matthew Jarrett, and Daniel Jarrett; by her great grandchildren, Ethan Arthur Ohm, Evin Paul Jarrett, Timothy Scott Wilson, and Leland Matthew Wilson; by her brother Thomas Samuel Dillard of Brazoria, Texas, and her sister Tammy (Andrew) McDaniel of Angleton, Texas; by her sister-in-law Edna "Mickey" Tibbits of Easton.   She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Emil Moldenhauer on September 21, 1996; by her grandson, Baby Boy Jarrett on July 5, 1980; by her parents; by her sister-in-law Irene Sutlief.
