Sandy K. Westerhouse, age 60 of Faribault, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family following a two year courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, with Rev. Craig Breimhorst, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Faribault, officiating. Interment will be at the Warsaw Cemetery, Warsaw, MN. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Sandra Kay Hand, the daughter of Lloyd and Betty (Rose) Hand, was born on March 16, 1950 in Hudson, WI. She was raised and attended school in Faribault. Sandy worked at Sheldahl in Northfield for 18 years, then for nine years with Menasha in Lakeville. She married Larry Westerhouse on February 22, 2003 in Faribault. Sandy loved bowling, camping, motorcycle rides, and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Larry of Faribault; three children, Becky Kubinski (and Mike Malecha), Brenda Kubinski, and Brian Kubinski (and Ann Frailey), all of Faribault; three step-children, Maggie Westerhouse (and Scott Underdahl) of Faribault, Melissa (and Rudi) Gregor of Montgomery, and Jennifer Westerhouse (and Drew Moorman) of Faribault; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three siblings, Bob Hand (and Bev McLeish), Cindy (and Peter) LaCanne, and Mary Jo (and Scott) Ozmun, all of Faribault; mother-in-law, Barbara Westerhouse of Springfield, Missouri; a niece and nephew, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Hand; two nephews, Patrick and Derrick Ozmun; and father-in-law, Glen Westerhouse.
