Sandra M. LaCanne, age 65 of Faribault, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, at Sacred Heart in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services. Parish prayers will be recited on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Sandra Mae Lattin, the daughter of Nelson and Rosalie (Zahn) Lattin, was born on November 15, 1942 in Faribault. She attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1960. On May 5, 1962 she was united in marriage to Thomas LaCanne at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Tom preceded her in death on January 4, 1998. Sandy worked for over 20 years at Infinia Health Care Center in Faribault as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed traveling, reading, listening to music, especially Elvis, planting flowers, watching the Humming birds that came to her garden and playing with her dogs. She is survived by four children, Gerald LaCanne of Lake City, MN, Susan (Greg) Schneider of Red Wing, MN and James and Timothy LaCanne of Faribault; by 8 grandchildren and one great grandson; by two sisters, Jeanette Pitman of San Bernardino, CA and Marion (Robert) Greene of Faribault; by a brother, Lowell (Marilyn) Lattin of Forest Lake, MN and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Tom LaCanne Jr. in 1979.
