Sandra Meshke Hemmings, age 67 of Montgomery, AL died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at the new location of Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Pastor Lisa Meshke, officiating.
Sandra Lucille was born on October 1, 1949 in Faribault to Gordon "Bud" and Lucille (Remillard) Meshke. She attended Immaculate Conception School, and graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1967. Sandy received her secretarial certification from Faribault Vo-Tech. She was employed by Nutting Truck in Faribault before moving to Tucson, AZ. There she met her husband, Robbie Hemmings. They were married in June of 1973. With Robbie being a career serviceman in the U.S. Air Force, they resided in many different locations. They lived in Tucson, Japan, Marquette, Mich., Las Vegas, and lastly Montgomery, AL where they retired. At each location, Sandy was employed in secretarial work or as an office manager. In Montgomery she was the store manager for Drapery & Blind. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters. Throughout her life she was an avid reader and enjoyed playing softball, bowling, bingo and needlework.
She is survived by her husband, Robbie Hemmings; daughter, Stacie (Patrick) Haynes; grandchildren, Mary Alice and Lily Haynes; mother, Lucille Meshke; brother and sisters, Dean (Marilyn) Meshke, Sally (Jim) Boos, and Karen (Ernie) DeLuca; nephews, Todd Meshke and Andrew Boos; nieces, Lisa Meshke, Katie (Chad) Weber, Kari DeLuca, and Danielle (Ben) Miller; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon "Bud" Meshke.
Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation in memory of Sandy.
