Ruth Huebl

Ruth L. Huebl, age 88 of Waseca, died on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Traditions II in Owatonna.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 5th at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer, Celebrant. Interment will be in Waseca's Calvary Cemetery following services.   Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Monday afternoon for one hour to services, at church. There will be a 5:00 p.m. Catholic Daughter Rosary prayed Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.   Ruth was born on April 17, 1923 to Alfred and Lydia (Hermel) Kroeger in Rapidan, Minnesota. She graduated from Rapidan High School, and went on to earn her RN degree from Naeve School of Nursing in Albert Lea. She was united in marriage to Donald E. Huebl on September 3, 1949 at Ss Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in Mankato. Ruth had a 28 year career in nursing, first with St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, then with the Waseca Memorial Hospital. Ruth and Don raised their family, and farmed in St. Mary Township for 40 years before moving into Waseca. She was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, and was a life member of the Catholic Daughters of The Americas-Court Sacred Heart # 1424. Ruth enjoyed water activities on the lake, music, and traveling.    She is survived by her husband Don of 62 years; by her daughters Barb of Scottsdale, AZ and Theresa of Apple Valley; by her sons Michael (Cindy) Huebl of Easton, MO, Charles (Linda) Huebl of Waseca, Donald Huebl of rural Waseca, and John (Kris) Huebl of Waseca; by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Esther, and brothers Martin and Rueben.   Casket bearers are: Alex Huebl, Nicholas Huebl, Jason Huebl, James Nguyen, Tony Luciano, Blake Huebl, Joseph Huebl Nguyen.   Honorary bearers are: Hilary Mulcahey, Amy Sainsbury, Sabrina Huebl, Jennifer Aguliar.
