Rosemary E. "Rosie" Poirier

Rosemary E. “Rosie” Poirier, age 82 of Faribault, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Milestone Senior Living following an extended illness.

Rosemary Elaine, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Smith) Fletcher was born on April 17, 1941 in Winona, MN.  In 1948 Rosie’s family moved to Faribault and she attended Bethlehem Academy High School graduating with the class of 1960.  On April 8, 1961 she was united in marriage to Robert Poirier at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault.  Rosie worked for over 32 years as an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay.  She loved spending time with her family and was a wonderful cook.  She enjoyed doing paint by number kits, gardening and flowers and was a wonderful dance partner.  She was a member of the Divine Mercy CCW, the American Legion and Eagles Ladies Auxiliaries and was a member of the Clown Club.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Poirier of Faribault, MN; by her children, Julie (Phillip) Hineman of La Valle, WI, Charles (Margaret) Poirier of Edgerton, WI and Christine (Curtis) Everson of La Crosse, WI; by five grandchildren, Peri Hineman, Nicole (Turner) Wentzien, Jack Poirier and fiancé Emily Johnson, Luke (Megan) Everson and Gabriel Everson; by two great grandchildren, Hannah Rose and Lucy Alice Everson; by her sister, Janet Wald of Cokato, MN and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Fletcher, infant brother, Charles Fletcher and by her brother-in-law, Gerald Wald.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with Fr. Clayton Forner, officiating.  Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday for one hour prior to services.
