Rosemarie "Rosie" Madigan Stam, age 72, of Faribault, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home and on Wednesday for one hour prior to the services. Rosemarie Madigan, the daughter of Ambrose and Ester (Erie) Madigan, was born on May 24, 1937 in Faribault. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1955. She married Herbert Stam on June 12, 1965 at the St. Lawrence Church in Faribault. She and Herb owned and operated Liberty Cab & Ambulance for many years. Rosie then worked as a matron for the Rice County Sheriff's Department. She loved nature and her passion was winning souls for Christ. She was a member of the Aglow Women Singers and hosted Bible Study regularly at her house. She is survived by her husband, Herb of Faribault; three sisters, Patricia (William) Webster of Excelsior, MN, Kathleen (Donald) Maas of Florida, and Mary Jo Madigan (Paul Gerber) of Apple Valley, MN; sisters-in-law, Marion Madigan of Melbourne, FL, Barbara Madigan of Minnetonka, MN, and Rose Ellen Stam of Faribault; brother-in-law, LeRoy Stam of Selitz, OR; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald and Thomas Madigan; and niece, Julie Webster Anger.
