Rose Marie "Ree" Offerdahl, age 87, of Faribault, MN, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the new location of Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
Visitation will be held at Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday for one hour prior to the services. There will be no viewing on Friday.
Rose Marie was born on April 29, 1930 in Hettinger Township, Adams County, ND, to William and Mary C. (Cromer) Robinson. She graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1948. She was united in marriage to Harvey W. Offerdahl in March of 1955 in Faribault. He preceded her in death in March of 1959. Ree worked as a housekeeper for 22 years at Faribault Manor. She also cleaned for the State Bank of Faribault for many years. Following her retirement from Faribault Manor, Ree provided daycare for many families. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and the Minnesota Twins. Ree often played bingo and cards with friends and family. She was a member and former chaplain of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagle's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Mari Lou Ernste (Duke) of Faribault; five grandchildren, Amy Ernste Caron (Randy), Heidi Ernste, Andy Ernste (Meghan), Teri Semmann (Travis), and Stacy Ernste Voegele (Thomas); eight great grandchildren (and one on the way), Hannah and Colton Caron, Halle, Ellie, and Laney Rice, and Preston, Natalie, and Ethan Ernste; siblings, Jeanne Stubbe of Bemidji, MN, William "Ronnie" Robinson (Marlene) of Waseca, MN, and Linda Carter of Cameron, MO; sisters-in-law, Betty Robinson of Bloomington, MN, and Grace Thoemke (John) of North Dakota; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; parents, William and Mary; brothers, Jerome, Bobby, and Terry Robinson; and sister, Delores Matz.
