Rose A. Freid

Rose A. Freid, age 81, of Faribault, MN, passed away September 12, 2023, at Faribault Senior Living.

Rose Anne was born on August 4, 1942, in Austin, MN, to Philip and Esther (Stadler) Forcelle.  She graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1961.  She was united in marriage to Paul (Mike) Freid on July 23, 1966, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Faribault.  For 20 years, Rose owned and operated Homestead Crafts.  She later worked in the craft department at Wal-Mart for 8 years.  She was a member of The Sisterhood of the Round Table and was a troop leader for Girl Scouts.  Rose enjoyed sewing, crafting, entertaining, traveling, garage sales, and shopping.  Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, Sherri Snow (Jim), Wendy Bluhm (Chris Schell), Kelly Anderson (Randy), and Randy Freid; 10 grandchildren, Shandice Kuntze (Tim), Brittny Bigbear, Cody Snow, Tori Snow (Justin Krebsbach), Brian Anderson, Justin Anderson (Kylie), Jessica Stier (Chris), Jeremy Freid, Heather Freid (Gavin Paustian), and Nik Bangert; 11 great grandchildren; six siblings, JoAnne Peters, Carol Juaire, Lynn Knutson, Fr. Joseph Forcelle, Fred Forcelle (Joyce), and Susan Forcelle; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Mike” Freid; parents, Philip and Esther Forcelle; and two brothers, Frank Lee, and Michael Forcelle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault, with Fr. Joseph Forcelle, officiating.  Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, and on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
