Ronald D. Luckow Sr.

Ronald D. Luckow Sr., age 83 of Faribault, MN passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the JA Wedum Residential Hospice Home in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Ronald Dean, the son of William and Loretta (St. Martin) Luckow was born on September 7, 1941 in Faribault, MN. He attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1959. Following high school Ron served in the U.S. Navy for four years. On November 23, 1968 he was united in marriage to Sandra Thompson in Dundas, MN. Sandra preceded him in death on December 20, 2016. Ron worked for 30 years as a carpenter for Adjustable Joist in Minneapolis and worked on many of the buildings in Minneapolis and St. Paul. In retirement they spent many winters in Mesa, AZ. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing and was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Luckow Jr. and Kevin (Amy) Luckow, all of Faribault, MN; by two grandchildren, Kelsey Jones and Nicholas Luckow; by his sister, Marlys Kattenberg of Murrieta, CA and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, by three sisters, Audrey Schmidtke, Jeanette Fritz and Marilyn Conklin and by 5 brothers, William Jr., Stanley “Spencer”, Brian “Pete’, Neil and Gerald Luckow.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Organization.

Visitation will be held at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
