Roberta "Robbie" Petersen, age 57, of Juneau, Alaska and formerly of Faribault, died on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at her home.    Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.    Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Friday for one hour prior to services.    Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.    Roberta Jeanne Petersen, the daughter of W. Edward and E. Anne (Christensen) Petersen, was born on September 17, 1954 in Minneapolis. She attended grade school at the Immaculate Conception Catholic School and later graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault with the class of 1972. Following high school, Robbie attended Veterinary Tech Classes at the Medical Institute of Minnesota. Over the years Robbie has lived in several areas in Alaska including, Anchorage, Juneau and Tenakee Springs.   While in Tenakee Springs, Robbie had the privilege of making the Bush her homestead for a short period of time. She traveled extensively and truly enjoyed going to Hawaii. Robbie was a very accomplished and creative cook, especially with Alaskan Seafood. She always had a love for animals and chose the veterinary field as a young woman, which led her to having the opportunity to work for the State of Alaska on the Alaska Marine Highway. She became Chief Purser on the ship Kenscott and later retired.     She is survived by her father, W. Edward Petersen of Phoenix, AZ; her sisters, Peggy (Jon) LeBlanc of Wolverine, MI and Mary (Tom) Jean of Hague, VI, by eight nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.    She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth and by an infant brother, Craig.
