Robert Wilson

Robert H. Wilson, age 81 of River Falls, WI, passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 at the United Hospital in St. Paul, MN surrounded by his loving family.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls, WI.

Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault, MN.

Robert Harold, the son of Harold and Anna (Trebil) Wilson, was born on September 15, 1931 in Ortonville, MN. He attended Clinton High School and graduated with the class of 1949. After high school, Bob attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. Bob also served in the U.S. Army. On June 28, 1952, Bob was united in marriage to Rosemary Vogelbacher at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville, MN. Bob worked in the Dairy Industry all of his life starting as a young boy at the age of 14 washing cream cans and eventually became a champion butter and cream maker in Wheaton, MN. The Dairy Industry took Bob and his family from Blooming Prairie, MN to Boise, ID and eventually back to the Midwest and River Falls, WI. Bob enjoyed time spent with all of his family, traveling, reading, fishing, current events and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosemary Wilson of River Falls, WI; by four children, Stephen Wilson of Cour d' Alene, ID, LeAnn Wilson of River Falls, WI, Nancy Jo (Robert) Ferguson of River Falls, WI and David (Sharon) Wilson of Faribault, MN; by seven grandsons, one granddaughter and two great grandchildren; by two siblings, Rev. Tom (Janet) Wilson of Moorhead, MN and Carole Orthman of Dumas, TX; by her daughter-in-law, JoAnn Wilson (Karpach) of Cour d'Alene, ID and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Barbara Jean Wilson and his stillborn son, Bobby Wilson.
