Robert E. Troska, age 72, of Clever, MO, and formerly of Albert Lea, MN, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in New Richland, MN.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea. McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Robert Eugene was born June 10, 1940 in Wells, Minnesota to Frank and Florence (Nowak) Troska. He graduated from Alden High School in 1958. Bob served his country in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge he returned home, and began a long career with Trades Publishing in Albert Lea. He was united in marriage to Sue Henry on February 8, 1964 at St. Theodore Church in Albert Lea. For the last 17 years of his career Bob worked for the City of Albert Lea. In 2004 Bob and Sue retired to the Branson Area. They were members of Cowboy Church in Branson, and Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Bob was a hard worker, excellent handyman, and took great pride maintaining his yard. But he most enjoyed his family, especially time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Sue of Clever, Missouri; children, Kelly (Brian) Tomford of Waseca, Kristin (Tony Prodzinski) Troska of Winona, and Jeffrey (Teresa) Troska of Little Canada; grandchildren, Alexander Tomford, Ashley Tomford, Jacob Troska, Samuel Troska, and Ryan Troska; siblings, Catherine Woitas of Minnesota Lake, and Raymond (Anne) Troska of Alden; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Troska.
