Robert J. Kolterman, age 69, of Faribault, died on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, MN, following a sudden illness.
A gathering of friends and family to remember Bob will take place on Wednesday, February 20th from
4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory in Faribault.
Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault at a later date.
Robert James Kolterman, the son of William Sr. and Margaret (Zahn) Kolterman, was born on January 5, 1944 in Faribault. Bob attended Faribault schools and later entered the U.S. Army, serving in Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked for many years with Fairway Foods in Northfield, then briefly at McQuay's in Faribault until his retirement. Bob enjoyed socializing with his friends, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed sharing a good joke. He also loved to golf and would even travel to warmer destinations to play on occasion.
He is survived by his daughter, Jenny Ellerbusch (and Al Wolf) of Faribault; four grandchildren, Ervin and Clara Boyer, and Carrie and Emma Wolf; sisters, Kathy Kolterman and Rose Noble, both of Faribault; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Kolterman Sr. and Margaret Kolterman Barron; granddaughter, Hannah Boyer; brothers, Gerald, William Jr., Kenneth Sr., Donald, Richard, David, and Terrance Kolterman; and sisters, Geraldine Hendrickson and Edith Kolterman.
