Robert Cox

Robert J. Cox, age 90, of Faribault, MN passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Milestone Senior Living in Faribault.

Robert John, the son of Robert H. and Anita (Sershon) Cox, was born on September 24, 1932 in Kaukauna, WI. Robert grew up in Kaukauna and graduated from Kaukauna High School with the Class of 1952. Robert enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1954. He worked as a cameraman for the local TV station before being promoted to Station Manager. He had many important people on his programs including Vince Lombardi. While he wasn’t working, Robert enjoyed piloting, he was an instrument rated pilot, spending time with his family, cheering on the Packers, and reading books for the blind.

Robert is survived by his children, Bonnie (Dwayne) McDaniel, Connie (Jewel) Roesler, Julie (Bob) Weir, Robert (Joy) Cox, Timothy Cox, and Allison (Todd) Buckpitt; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patrick (Sam) Cox and Judy (Dan) Heindel; sister-in-law, Mary Cox; special friend, Verna Mae Hibbard; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kevin Cox.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
