Robert Brandt

Robert O. Brandt, age 80 of Waldorf, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the New Richland Care Center.               Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20th at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf with Rev. Michael Mathews officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Danville Township.               Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home in Janesville, and will continue on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services, at church.               Robert Otto was born on November 24, 1927 in Faribault County, Minnesota to Leonard and Ada (Tolzmann) Brandt. He attended Dist. 33 country school, and Waldorf High School. Robert was united in marriage on June 1, 1948 to Agnes Lienke at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Alma City. Robert and Agnes have resided in the Waldorf area their entire married life. In addition to farming, Robert drove school bus for 31 years, and delivered Winnebago motor homes across the country. He was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Danville Township. Robert and Agnes enjoyed fishing and spent many summers in the Walker/Leech Lake area.                He is survived by his wife Agnes of Waldorf; by his children Hazel (Gary) Owens of Waseca, Susan (Bob) Kipp of Waldorf, and Rodney (Stacy) Brandt of Waldorf; by his grandchildren and great grandchildren; by his brother-in-law John Lienke and a special cousin Arlene Tolzmann.               He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his step-father Harold Pieper; by his sisters-in-law Laura Santo and Eileen Lienke.               Casketbeares are Benjamin Kipp, Jess Brandt, Ryan Owens, Sandeep Burman, Leroy Pedersen, and Tim Uhlenkamp.               Honorary casketbearers are Alli Brandt, Rebecca Pedersen, Renee Burman, and Pamela Uhlenkamp.
