Rita Kenyon

Rita M. Kenyon, age 68, of Mankato and formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Keystone Communities in Mankato following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Father Robert Schneider officiating. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Madison Lake.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church on Friday.

Arrangements are being completed by Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville.

Rita Mae, daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Ehmke) Kenyon, was born on January 25, 1947 in Mankato, Minnesota. She attended and graduated from Janesville High School in 1964. Following high school, she worked as a secretary at Green Giant in LeSueur. Rita later moved to Indiana where she worked in production control at Columbia House for 37 years before retiring in 2008. She enjoyed reading, antiquing, having lunch with her friends, playing cards, and spending time with her family and dog, Dani.

Rita is survived by her mother, Dorothy Kenyon of Mankato; siblings, Myra (Gail) Cowdin of Janesville, Richard Kenyon of Phoenix, AZ, Jan Kenyon-Yenish of Lakeville, MN, Marla (Mark) Westphal of Janesville, Jenise (James) Seewald of Waseca, Dean Kenyon of Dallas, TX, and Keith (Laurie) Kenyon of Rollingstone, MN; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; many good friends in Indiana; her dog and closest companion, Dani the Yorkshire Terrier; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Kenyon; special friend, Daniel O'Donnell; her grandparents; and by several aunts and uncles.
