Richard “Bones” Rader, age 68, of Faribault, MN, passed away December 16, 2022, at home following a brief illness.
Richard Wayne was born on November 13, 1954, in Wells, MN, to Donald and Evon (Stencel) Rader. He graduated from Northfield High School with the class of 1973. Richard worked as a fabricator for Bilken Fabricators for about two years and a roller operator for Northwest Bituminous for about 30 years where he got the nickname “Bones”. Richard loved motorcycle riding, especially his Harley Davidson name “Helen”.
He is survived by his two sons, Alex and Chaylen, and Chaylen’s daughters, Alexis and Madelyn, and Chaylen’s step-daughter, Ambreia; Richard’s stepdaughter, Malissa (Malecha-Rader) Levy of Owatonna, MN and her children, Delaney, Madison, Dawson, and Dalton; brother, Ronny Rader (Kathy) of Pequot Lakes, MN; his former wife, Wendy Rader of Faribault; sister, Sandy Kemmerling (Larry) of Mt. Vernon, IL; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and oldest grandson, Josiah Richard Rader (Chaylen’s son), who suddenly passed away in July 2022 at age 19.
A Celebration of Life for Bones will be announced later.
