Richard F. Perry, age 78, of Faribault, died Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault, with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Richard Francis Perry, the son of Earl and Antoinette Perry, was born on November 25, 1930 in Minneapolis. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was married to Loura Tuenge on February 3, 1952 in Robbinsdale, MN. Richard worked as a boiler engineer for the State of Minnesota in Hastings for 10 years, and then transferred to the Faribault Regional Center in 1976. He retired after 35 years of employment. He is survived by his wife, Loura of Faribault; four children, Clara (Ronald) Voegele of Faribault, Holly (Ronald) Blumke of Wautoma, WI, Kevin Perry (Kimberly Wright) of Faribault, and Alan (Heidi) Perry of Faribault; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one nephew; two nieces; and one sister-in-law. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Martha Perry; parents; two brothers, Michael and David Perry; and two sons in infancy.
