Richard Kuntze

Richard F. Kuntze, age 71 of Williams, MN and formerly of Faribault, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at his home.             Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Shieldsville.             Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to services.             There will be no reviewal.             Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault.             Richard Francis Kuntze, the son of Walter and Helen (Molloy) Kuntze, was born on February 2, 1938 in Faribault. He attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1957. Dick served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. Following his service time he worked for Art Craft in Faribault and later for Fischer Redi Mix in Apple Valley, MN. Dick along with his brother Don purchased the Dennison Locker and ran the locker for several years until they sold it and Dick began processing meat at his own business in Northfield. In retirement Dick moved up north to Lake of the Woods.             He is survived by two daughters, Heidi (Ian) Hough and their daughters, Hannah and Grace of Lakewood, CO and Melissa and (Jared) Natchess and their four children, Emma, Jane, Ryan and Noah of Indianapolis, IN; by his companion for many years, Shirley Wicklund of Williams, MN; by six siblings, Mary (Mike) Sheehy of Faribault, Kathy (Dennis) "Slim and Skinny" DeMars of Faribault, Jeannie (Dennis) Hauschildt of Hackensack, MN, Bill (Betty) Kuntze of Faribault, Suzi (David) DeMars of Faribault and Sharon "Tilly" Kuntze of St. Paul, MN; by the mother of his children, Roxanne Steinberg Kuntze and by many nieces and nephews.             He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Frank "Buzz" Kuntze.
