Richard Fischer

Richard M. Fischer, age 91 of Madison Lake, died on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the Mankato House Health Care Center.             Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake with Fr. Syl Brown officiating.  Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Madison Lake.             Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at All Saints. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home of Janesville is handling arrangements.             Richard Michael was born on March 29, 1917 in Mankato Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota to Richard and Anna (Wagner) Fischer. Richard attended Dist #51 country school, and Mankato Loyola High School. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Helen Schraml on October 8, 1940 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake. Richard and Betty raised their family and farmed in LeRay Township, Blue Earth County their entire married life. He was a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake and a 75 year member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.             Richard is survived by his wife Betty; by his four children Lavonne (Delbert) Miller of Vernon Center, Karen (Frank) Fretheim of Casa Grande, AZ, Duane (Karen) Fischer of Waterville, and Willard Fischer of Phoenix, AZ; by 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.             He was preceded in death by his parents; by four brothers; five sisters; and a step great grandson.
