Richard Feichtinger

Richard F. "Dick" Feichtinger, age 83, of Faribault, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault.    Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.    Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday for one hour prior to the services at the church.    Richard Francis Feichtinger, the son of Christ and Ellen (Durant) Feichtinger, was born on September 21, 1928 in St. Cloud, MN. He graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud and attended St. Cloud St. Univ. Dick enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was later honorably discharged. He was married to Patricia Ross in 1955 in St. Cloud, Minnesota and they had three children together, Michael, Joan and Gary. She later preceded him in death in 1965. On October 14, 1972, Dick was united in marriage to Sharron Breyen in New Brighton, Minnesota. Together, they had two children Lee and Richard Jr. Upon moving to Faribault in 1957, Dick owned and operated the Paradise, Village and Family Drive-In Theaters. Dick especially enjoyed hosting holiday events at the theaters for the children of the community. He was a very generous and caring man and Dick's humor and wit will forever be remembered by friends and family.    He is survived by his wife, Sharron Feichtinger of Faribault; three sons, Michael (Mary) Feichtinger of St. Cloud, Gary (Kris) Feichtinger of Owatonna, and Richard Feichtinger Jr. of Faribault; two daughters, Joan (Jeff) Anderson of Faribault and Lee (Jesse) Bull of Minneapolis; five grandsons and five granddaughters; brother, Roger (Edie) Feichtinger of Lakeville; sister, LaVonne Ostergaard of Hoyt Lakes, MN; and other relatives and friends.    He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patricia; two grandsons, Tyson and Brandon; and nephew, Tom.
