Philip Penman

Philip Ronald Penman, age 53, of Owatonna, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at his home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Philip Ronald was born on November 29, 1963 in Faribault to Harold "Babe" and Charleen (Zabel) Penman. He graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1983. Philip worked in food service for many years, including Burger King, Minnick's and Nelson's grocery stores. He most recently worked at Cedar Valley Services in Owatonna. Philip enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat, attending Twins and Mankato Moon Dogs games, and going to the casino. He also enjoyed woodworking, crafting many coffee and end tables. Philip was a very lighthearted person and loved to joke with others.

He is survived by his mother, Charleen Penman of Faribault; siblings, Georgia (Dale) Schweisthal of Faribault, Sharon Kay (Douglas) Penning of Winona, and Randy (Vicki) Penman of Faribault; four nieces and four nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold "Babe" Penman; grandparents, Frank Sr. and Eliza Zabel, and George and Valeria Penman; brother, Harold "James" Penman; and nephew, Christopher Schweisthal.
