Patrick Wheelock

Patrick James Wheelock died on Sunday, October 9th, 2011 in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Pat was born October 20th, 1963 in Waseca, Minnesota.  He graduated from Waseca High School in 1982.  He played percussion in the band, was a member of FFA, and was on the golf team.  He attended college at the U of M-St. Paul and UW-River Falls.  Patrick was a painter, working on interior and exterior projects and also refinished woodwork.  Pat adored his cat Lovey and showered her with attention and affection.  He was happiest playing cribbage and cards, and he organized many games, taking great pride each time he won.  He enjoyed music, classic cars and the state fair.  He had fun celebrating holidays with his family, especially Christmas.  When he visited the farm in Waseca, he always found the kittens to hold, and he doted on Bob's dog, Pepper, even stopping to visit Pepper at the dog's new home in the country after his Mom moved to town. Patrick was also an avid pheasant hunter, and fisherman.  Pat is survived by his mother, Mavis Wheelock; siblings Lynette Wheelock (John Zattoni), Mark (Diane) Wheelock, Marianne Wheelock (Scott Kajer), Pam Wheelock, Greg (Donnette) Wheelock, Kent (Susan) Wheelock; and twelve nieces and nephews.  Patrick was preceded in death by his father Robert Wheelock in 2001 as well as his grandparents Ben and Agnes Armstrong, Joe and Marie Wheelock.  Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, Minnesota at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 14th.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. There will be a Catholic Daughter Rosary prayed on Friday at 11:00 a.m., at church. McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Waseca is handling funeral arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.
