Patrick Gerald Walsh

Patrick Gerald “Jerry” Walsh, age 59 of Faribault, MN died on Saturday, August 5, 2023 due to injuries sustained in a hiking accident in Ladysmith, WI.

Patrick Gerald, the son of Alexander and Vivian (Pofahl) Walsh was born on August 3, 1964 in Faribault, MN.  He attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1982.  Pat would later attend Faribault Vo-Tech and received his Associates Degree in welding.  For the past 28 years he worked for the State of Minnesota as a Behavior Modification Assistant. 

Pat was everyone’s best friend and he was very close with his son Bradey.  He loved riding his bicycle and especially the ride with the Wednesday night bike club and hanging out in his garage.  He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hiking, driving his radio controlled cars, walks in the weather and reading Harry Potter.

He is survived by his son Bradey Walsh of Owatonna, MN; by his adopted daughter, Devin Nelson of Owatonna, MN; by his mother, Vivian Jones of Faribault, MN; by his siblings, Moira Walsh of Big Lake, MN, Shawn Walsh of Brooklyn, NY, Dave Walsh of Faribault, MN, Michael (Deborah) Jones of Texas and Richard (JoAnn) Jones of Faribault and by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alexander Walsh, by his stepfather, Richard Jones and by his Big Brother and Big Sister Family, Bob and Adair Dwyer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, MN.  Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.

Memorial visitation will be held at the church on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
