Patricia E. Schwichtenberg, age 87, of Brooklyn Park, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault. Interment will be at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.
Patricia Eleanor, the daughter of Leo and Lillian (Cyr) Barry, was born on December 3, 1929 in Faribault, MN. She attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1947. On June 25, 1949 she was united in marriage to Raymond Schwichtenberg at the Immaculate Conception Church Parish House. Ray's career took them to Grenada, MS and Danville, IL. In Danville, Pat worked as an interior decorator at Carpet Village. In retirement Pat and Ray lived in North Fort Myers, FL and Pat was an Activities Director at Tara Woods Community where they lived. In 1998, Pat and Ray were the Grand Marshalls in the community parade. In 2002 they moved back to Maple Grove, MN. Ray preceded Pat in death on August 6, 2016. Pat enjoyed cooking, baking, ceramics, crafting and recently painting. Most important to her was spending time with family and close friends.
She is survived by her sons, Bradley Schwichtenberg of Hilton Head Island, SC and Dean Schwichtenberg of Brooklyn Park, MN; by four grandchildren, Sean (Dana) Schwichtenberg of Centerville, VA, Carly Schwichtenberg of Richmond, VA, Jacob Schwichtenberg of Fishers, IN and Derek (Amber) Schwichtenberg of Brooklyn Center, MN; by three great grandsons, Jack, Canaan and Sam; by five sisters, Mary Brown of Clear Lake, IA, Dorothy Paulson of Camas, WA, Carol Eveslage of Wanamingo, MN, Diane (Wayne) Beumer of Northfield, MN and Sharon (Karl) Teater of Inver Grove Heights, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Phyllis Dean and Geraldine Stevens.
