Patricia A. Roushar

Patricia A. “Pat” Roushar, age 89, of Faribault, MN passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at her home.

Patricia Ann, the daughter of Adrian and Margaret (McFarland) Ford was born on April 1, 1934 in Franklin, MN.  She attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1952.  On November 26, 1955 she was united in marriage to Charles E. Roushar at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault.  Charles preceded her in death on December 26, 1995.  Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Pat loved raising her children and then getting the opportunity to care for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed nature walks with her dog, Otis, sewing, baking, reading, attending daily Mass and visiting the Adoration Chapel.  She was an active member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church and helped with Befriender Ministry, sang in the choir for funerals and also helped clean the church and rectory.  She was also an active member of MCCL.

Pat is survived by her nine children, Terry (Bill) Meredith of Faribault, MN, Mark Roushar of Faribault, MN, Paul Roushar of Arizona City, AZ, Jane Roushar of Faribault, MN, Mary (Rich) Schapekahm of Monticello, MN, Dan (Lisa) Roushar of Owatonna, MN, Barb (Marshall) Johnson of Faribault, MN, Robert Roushar and Kristi Lindell of Cologne, MN and Katie (Walt) Opsal of Faribault, MN; by 30 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; by her sister, Margaret Barta of Faribault, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Charles Roushar Jr. and by her brother Jack Ford.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault.  Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers that memorials be directed to Bethlehem Academy High School, Divine Mercy Catholic School or Divine Mercy Catholic Church in memory of Pat.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
