Patricia (Mrs. Bernard) Pirkl, age 67, of Faribault died Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault with Bernadette Tatge, Pastoral Minister at Divine Mercy Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services. Patricia Ann Hruza, the daughter of Francis and Ethel (Bauernfeind) Hruza, was born on April 15, 1941 in Faribault. Pat attended Bethlehem Academy High School and graduated with the class of 1959. On September 24, 1960 she was united in marriage to Bernard Pirkl at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. Pat worked for several years as a trainer at Control Data and then was a private contractor after Control Data closed. Pat was an excellent cook and loved all of her pets very much. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing and gardening. Pat also loved to hunt but fishing was her passion. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Pirkl of Faribault; by her granddaughter, Angela Pirkl and her great grandson, Antonio Lopez-Pirkl, both of Lakeville and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Mike Pirkl in 1980, her sister, Donna Smith and her brother, Dick Hruza.
