Patricia "Pat" A. Schweisthal

Patricia “Pat” Schweisthal, age 89 of Faribault, MN, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at her home.

Patricia Ann, the daughter of Harry and Alvina (Johnson) Thamert, was born on July 18, 1934 in Owatonna, MN. She grew up in Owatonna and graduated from Owatonna High School with the Class of 1952. She was united in marriage to Harold Schweisthal on May 19, 1956 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Owatonna. Pat worked as a Paraprofessional at the Faribault High School for 22 years. She also worked as a clerk at Woody Schrader Auctions for 16 years. While she wasn’t working, Pat enjoyed spending time collecting antiques, especially Santa Clauses, spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.

Pat is survived by her children, Kim (Dave) Paschke and their children, Chris (Becky) and Pat, Michael (Jill) Schweisthal and their children, Tim (Linnay), Sarah (Perry), and Kyle (Dani), Mark (Pam) Schweisthal and their children, Nic (Jenna) and Kristen, Karen (Paul) Sommers and their children, Troy (Kim) Sande, Nicole, Peter, Taylor, and Nathaniel, and Cheri (Jeff) Hollaway; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son, Gregg Schweisthal; brother, Howard Thamert; and sisters, Orlene Higgins, Lorraine Lohman, and Marjorie Page.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault, with Father Clayton Forner officiating. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will take place on Monday, May 27, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home and will continue for one hour prior to Mass at church.
