Patricia "Pat" J. Caron

Patricia "Pat" Josephine Caron of Faribault, MN passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the age of 87 surrounded by the love of her family.

Pat was born to Lewis and Lena (Chavie) Caron March 19, 1937.  She graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1955.  She married the love of her life Gregory Caron on April 27, 1957.   They moved to Minneapolis for a short time and moved back to Faribault where they raised their family. 

Before she was married, she worked at the Faribault Hotel and then at Northern States Power in the billing department.  Pat loved to tell people she worked as a Domestic Engineer as she stayed home to raise and care for her six children. 

Pat was active in her local church community.   She was a Be-friender, Eucharistic minister, Reader and helped with the Church dinners at Sacred Heart.  She also volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul.  She was an active member of the Twin Cities Cursillo. 

Pat was an artist.  She painted items in the art of Norwegian Rosemaling for many people, taught classes and received awards for her work.  She also painted many pictures in the Bob Ross style of painting.  Her imagination and talent was endless.  She will be remembered for her story telling abilities and her great sense of humor.

She is survived by her children; Kenneth (Susan) Caron of Lake City, Julie (Kenneth) Trnka of Morristown, Timothy (Christine) Caron of Faribault, Tracy (Todd) Meschke of Morristown, Alyson Minshall (Jim Gryc) of Faribault, and Sara (Robert) Furey of Faribault;  by her 16 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly; her sisters-in-law, Marlene Brunner and Patricia R. Caron and by many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Lena, her husband Gregory, by her siblings, Jerome (Rosemary) Caron, Genevieve (Harold) Goodwin, Evelyn (William) Thiffault, Irene (Leo) Thompson, Dolores (LaVern) Bloomquist, Bernadine (Charles) Jackson, LaDonna (Carl) Brunner, Isadore (Delores) Caron, Bernard Anthony Caron, Clement (Audreen) Caron and Lewis Caron Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Faribault with Fr. Clayton Forner, officiating.  Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.  

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
