Patricia T. O'Brien

Patricia T. O’Brien, age 91 of Morristown, MN, died on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at her home.

Patricia O’Brien born January 27, 1933 in Faribault, MN to Steve and Rosemond (Rousseau) O’Brien. She attended rural schools in her early years and graduated from Medford High School Class of ’51. She married Donald Schweisthal Sr. and together they raised four children on a farm in the Faribault and Morristown areas. She helped around the farm, was a homemaker, and worked in different factories during her workdays. Pat enjoyed sewing Raggedy Ann Dolls and other types of sewing and loved talking with the people who stopped in at her garage sales. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her: children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. These were always happy times.

She is survived by her three children, Susan (Brown) Chambers of Faribault, MN, Rosemond Schweisthal of Tomah, WI, Donald (Sherry) Schweisthal Jr. of Morristown, MN; by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; by three brothers, Maurice O’Brien of Sparks, NV, Albert O’Brien of McMinnville, OR and Mike O’Brien of Tucson, AZ; by two sisters, Maureen Johnson of Reno, NV and Frances Allman of New Freedom, PA and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Daniel Schweisthal; parents, Steve and Rosemond (Rousseau) O’Brien; two step mothers, Margaret (Eastman) O’Brien and Nellie (Theader) O’Brien; three sisters, a sister who died at birth, Rita Kuntz and Grace Skalicky; brother, Leonard O’Brien; four brothers-in-law, Harry Skalicky, Ernest Kuntz, Bill Allman and Robert Johnson; sister-in-law, Janice Beardsley O’Brien; two stepsisters, Mary Smith and Joan Gowan and step brothers-in-law, Bill Smith and Bill Gowan.

Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Deerfield Township with Fr. Joseph Pete officiating. Interment will be held at Corpus Christi Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Corpus Christi Cemetery in memory of Pat.
