Patricia A. “Pat” Arpin, age 82 of St. Peter, MN and formerly of Faribault, MN passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 at her home at Pheasants Ridge Assisted Living in St. Peter following a sudden illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault with Fr. Kevin Kenney officiating. Interment will be held at the St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.
Patricia Ann, the daughter of Kenneth and Lillian (Vogel) Schilling was born on April 6, 1937 in Sturgeon Bay, WI. She attended Algoma High School and graduated with the class of 1955. Following high school she attended St. Catherine’s College and then began working at Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI. On October 13, 1962 she was united in marriage to Lyle Arpin at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Green Bay, WI. After their marriage they lived in Milwaukee and later lived in Hagerstown, MD, Burlington, WI and in 1976 moved to Faribault, MN when they purchased Silkey’s Bait Shop. They renamed the business Fishermen’s Court and operated this business until 1994. Pat also worked at different businesses including, Crown Cork & Seal, Jennie-O-Turkey Plant, ESI, Cedar Valley Services in Owatonna and also was a consultant for over 30 years with Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church and was a part of the Befriender ministry. She also was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by her children, David Scott (Jackie) Arpin of St. Peter, MN, James (Caroline) Arpin of Oronoco, MN and Brenda Shepherd of Minneapolis, MN; by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; by her sister-in-law, Mitsuko Norman of Sun City, CA and by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Kenneth Schilling.
