Ordella D. Scholljegerdes, age 91 of Waseca, died on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Lake Shore Inn, Waseca. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12th at 1:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, with Rev. Gary Rusinko officiating. Interment will be in the Sakatah Cemetery, Waterville. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11th from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Friday afternoon for one hour prior to services. Ordella Delores was born on October 6, 1919 to William and Clara (Grams) Freitag in McPherson Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. She attended Blue Earth County country school. On October 19, 1946 she was united in marriage to Donald Bennett at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Clair. Donald died December 30, 1956. Ordella was employed by various local businesses including, Waseca Floral, and Waseca Medical Center, and did many odd jobs for families in the Waseca area. On September 8, 1973 she was united in marriage to Robert Scholljegerdes at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. Ordella and Robert resided on their farm near Meriden. In 2002 they retired from farming and moved into Waseca. She was a long time member of St Paul's Lutheran Church in Meriden. Ordella enjoyed gardening and baking, and time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Tamra Reich-Lentz and son-in-law Richard Lentz of Mankato; by her grandchildren, Donell Reich and Jason Lentz both of Mankato, and by her brother Kenneth (LaVerne) Freitag of St. Clair. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her first husband Donald Bennett on December 30, 1956 and her second husband Robert Scholljegerdes on November 4, 2007, and her grandson Brian Reich.
