Nicholas A. "Ginger" Paulson, age 16 of Faribault died Sunday, September 27, 2009. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Faribault with Pastor Steve Delzer, officiating. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Memorial visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Sunday for one hour prior to services. The family prefers that memorials be directed to the Faribault Hockey Association or the Faribault Soccer Associaton. Nicholas Alexander Paulson, the son of Donald and Peggy (Shields) Paulson, was born on November 20, 1992 in Faribault, MN. Nicholas was a member of the Junior Class at Faribault Senior High School. He enjoyed playing soccer and hockey with different teams as part of the Faribault Soccer and Hockey Associations for several years. Nicholas loved music of all kinds and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He is survived by his parents, Don and Peggy Paulson of Faribault; by three siblings, Nathan, Cullen and Siriana Paulson, all of Faribault; by his paternal grandparents, Dean and Joan Paulson of Northfield, MN; by his aunts, Julie (John) Mitchell of Northfield, MN, Kathy Stower of Apache Junction, AZ and Patty Shields of Shakopee, MN and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Shirley Shields and by his uncle Kevin Shields.
