Nancy (Nansi) Jean Siewert was born on April 3rd, 1955 in Rochester, Minnesota to Gerald William and Viola Edna (Young) Siewert (Chamberlain).
Nancy loved working on jigsaw puzzles. She would often use a magnifying glass on the higher count puzzles because of her limited eye sight. She also liked to draw. Considering how difficult it was for Nancy to see, it’s amazing how well she drew.
At least two of Nancy’s cats were named Spooky; she totally adored them. Her dear friend and cousin (through a distant marriage) Pam Zollinger said Nancy enjoyed listening to the oldies and to nature music. It was well known that Nancy loved a good laugh. Pam recalled a time, around Halloween, when she was taking her to the doctor. Nancy had put fake spiders on her stomach to play a joke on the staff.
Another of Nancy’s hobbies was looking into our family’s genealogy. When she was staying in a Lake City Nursing Home, a number of years back, her roommate turned out to be a distant relative. The family connection was through our Great Grandpa Siewert.
