Monica Yerhot, age 76 of Minneapolis, formerly of Waseca, returned to the Lord and the eternal joy of heaven on Friday, July 17, 2009 at her home in Minneapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Syl Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday afternoon for one hour prior to services, at church. McRaith Funeral Home of Waseca is handling arrangements. Monica was born on February 16, 1933 at the family farm north of Waseca, MN. She was the sixth child of Joseph and Helen (Hurt) Yerhot. After the death of her mother, Monica was raised by Frank and Nell Brisbane. She attended school at Sacred Heart Parochial School in Waseca. As a young women Monica lived in St. Peter and later moved to Minneapolis. She lived a simple life, enjoying her cats, shopping sprees, lunches out, family visits and Christmas gift exchanges. Monica will live on in the fond memories of her family. She is survived by her brother Donald (Darlene) Yerhart of Lansing; by her sisters-in-law Violet Yerhot of Waseca, Margie Yerhot of New Prague, and Barbara Yerhot of Austin; by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her sister Pauline (Charles) Gray, and three brothers, Michael, Raymond, and Bernard.
