Milton Sticha

Milton J. Sticha, age 82, of Faribault, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at his home following an extended illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, MN. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault with military honors provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

Milton John was born on October 18, 1934, in Veseli, MN to John and Josephine Sticha. He graduated from Bethlehem Academy with the class of 1953. Milt was united in marriage to Karma Mahagnoul on October 25, 1955 in Faribault. He worked for Mullen Motors prior to entering the U.S. Army in 1957 and was stationed in Germany until his discharge in 1959. He then owned and operated Milt's Mobil in Faribault and then worked at Sheldahl in Northfield. Milt then enjoyed being self-employed, operating Milt Sticha Home Improvement and M&K Camper and Auto Sales. He finished his working career in transportation for ABC Bus, Faribault Transportation, and Shattuck-St. Mary's School. Milt enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, fixing old cars, and the company of his faithful dog Daisy.

He is survived by his wife, Karma Sticha of Faribault; children, JoAnn (Steve) Caron of Faribault, John Sticha of Faribault, and Tom (Deanna) Sticha of Owatonna; grandchildren, Lester (Toni) Caron of Faribault, Aric Caron (Chasity Hernandez) of Edna, TX, Ashley (Joey) Blaisdell of Morristown, Marcus Sticha of Faribault, and James Sticha of Mankato; six great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sticha and Josephine Sticha Graff; sister, Irene Sticha; and six step-siblings.
